Founded in 2017, Climbers of Color seeks to increase access to climbing for Black, Indigenous and People of Color.
We provide educational courses and supportive mentorship to create leaders of color in the climbing industry.
-
Brown Girls Climb (BGC) is a national non-profit which strives to facilitate mentorship, provide access, uplift leadership, and celebrate representation in the outdoors and climbing for People of the Global Majority*.
Our process is adaptive and emergent with a focus on building equitable and just relationships in all the efforts we commit to, including meet-ups and mentorship, resource sharing and redistribution, and employment and industry practices.
Historically, we have focused on Women of Color in climbing, but recognize that our work goes beyond women such that our hope is to have a wider impact for all climbers, specifically those impacted by patriarchal systems.
Clinic Providers for Women and Genderqueer Individuals
-
Our mission is to create an educational space for women (cis, trans) to realize their strength through outdoors retreats and skills clinics.
We offer a variety of programs catered to a wide range of skill levels, from complete beginners to experts.

She Sends Collective believes that all climbers deserve access to quality education that allow them to not only enjoy climbing, but be confident in the decisions they are making in their own climbing journey. Through our outdoor educational clinics, one of our goals is to provide accessible and standardized learning opportunities to women and genderqueer climbers regardless of financial status, and we do this by way of our sliding scale model.
-
NSM’s vision is to be a strong community of inspired climbers with the confidence and independence to mentor all women and genderqueer climbers including those from all communities to experience the outdoors and receive outdoor education.
