Our Gear Programs

Community Gear Library

Multi-use or shareable items, such as tents, crash pads, and guidebooks, are available for members of the community to rent.

Gear Redistribution

Single-use items or items best suited for personal use, such as shoes and clothing, are redistributed to members of the community.

In an effort to help reduce the financial barriers of participation, we collect new and gently used outdoor gear to either redistribute to individuals in the community or become a rentable asset in our community gear library.

FAQs

  • All of the gear offered in our program is new, gently used, or used but in good condition. We evaluate all items to make sure that the item is functional and suitable for use; however, it is at your full discretion whether or not to use and trust the gear.

  • For those who have items they don’t want to donate to the Queer Climber’s Network but are comfortable with others borrowing, we offer the option to volunteer your gear. Volunteered gear is listed in a separate registry, so when someone is looking for that item, we will connect them with those who own that item. The item remains your property and any pickup/return of equipment will be arranged between the owner and renter.

Please email us with the item(s), condition, contact info, and any additional notes to list your item.

  • Please send an email to queerclimbersnetwork@gmail.com to arrange a drop-off.

  • Our gear library and redistribution program is completely free and available to all members of the community.
