What is the Queer Filmmaker Grant?
In August of 2022, we reached out to No Man’s Land Film Festival asking if they would be open to collaborating in the expansion of their film grant program and create a Queer Filmmaker Grant.
We’re proud to announce that beginning at their 2023 Flagship Festival in Denver, Colorado, they will award the inaugural Queer Filmmaker Grant to a queer woman, man, trans, genderqueer, or nonbinary filmmaker.
This grant was made possible by generous sponsorship from Chronicle Cinema.
The Deets:
$2,500 towards your film
Film premiere at the No Man’s Land Film Festival Flagship Event the following year
Open to queer male, female, trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer filmmakers only.

The inaugural No Man’s Land Film Festival Queer Filmmaker Grant sponsored by Chronicle Cinema has been awarded to Christina Rosetti in support of her project Dirt Pride.

Christina Rosetti is a queer, Cuban-American filmmaker telling visual stories through her boutique production company, C-Rose Media.
Her creative focus is on queer folx taking up space in the outdoors, specifically queer amateur athletes creating joy and community in industries and environments not designed for them.

Dirt Pride follows the annual bikepacking journey of a group of queer friends finding community, joy, and healing together in nature.
After a small group of folx connected during the 2022 Portland Pride celebration, they planned an all-queer bikepacking trip through Washington a few weeks later.
That trip proved to be more transformational than any of them anticipated, underscoring the need for and power of queer affinity groups in nature. They decided to make it an annual tradition and called it ‘Dirt Pride.’
