She Moves Mountains
-
She Moves Mountains was founded at Smith Rock State Park in July of 2017.
We exist to empower and educate women (cis, trans) through technical outdoor clinics and community events.
While are focus is on women, we welcome all gender minorities who feel comfortable in a space that centers women.
-
She Moves Mountains’ mission is to create an educational space for women (cis, trans) to realize their strength through outdoors retreats and skills clinics.
We offer a variety of programs catered to a wide range of skill levels, from complete beginners to experts.
Programs include rock climbing retreats, backpacking retreats and clinics, and international climbing trips.
OUT in the Wild Adventures
-
OUT in the Wild provides community based programs that teach outdoor technical skills in an inclusive and equitable environment.
Through our programs we hope to create more visibility for members of underrepresented communities, particularly the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
-
OUT in the Wild believes that all people deserve access to the outdoors and the skills to thrive outside. We recognize that in order to provide access to our programs we need to offer them equitably. Our programs are all priced on a sliding scale and we offer scholarships to folx who need financial assistance.
Available programs range from clinics and workshops to weekend climbing festivals, such as Climb Out Camp Out.
Rise Outside Collective
-
We are a diverse collective of outdoor guides, educators, advocates, and activists. We are climbers, alpinists, hikers, trail runners, birders, bikers, writers, authors, artists, performers, and lovers of rocks, scat, tracks, plants, and animals. And we are absolutely dedicated to diversifying the outdoors.
We recognize the transformative power of the outdoors for all. We founded Rise Outside to create an environment we would most want to teach in, one where everyone is made to feel welcome bringing their full selves in pursuit of reaching their full potential. RiseOutside is a non-profit with our bottom line committed to accessibility for underrepresented communities.
-
We offer outdoor education and guided experiences on rock, ice, trail, and anywhere we connect with nature. Hiring us creates mentorship opportunities for our diverse outdoor leaders and funds our programming for groups who have traditionally encountered barriers to realizing their potential outside.
She Sends Collective
-
She Sends Collective fosters space for femininity in a sport dominated by the masculine by way of access, education, inclusivity and community. It is our goal to help women + gender queer folks ‘send’ whatever they set their intentions on, climbing related or not. We view you first as a human, second as a climber.
Currently, our outdoor educational clinics and overnight trips are reserved for women and gender queer humans. However, we work with everybody if you are looking for a day of guided climbing and private instruction!!
-
While climbing is the thing that unites us, we strive to be more than climbing.
With this in mind, you can expect to find workshops centered around nutrition, self-love and mindfulness in addition to our climbing-centered offerings. We believe that if we have a stronger relationship with ourselves, food, and our minds then we will perform better on the wall, decrease our risk for injury and therefore extend our longevity within this special sport.
We recognize that there are financial barriers to accessing quality outdoor climbing education, various experiences climbing and supporting our hobby at the most basic level. This is why you will notice that we offer both our outdoor educational clinics and overnight trips on a sliding scale. We also offer full and partial scholarships for many of our programs, thanks to our sponsors.
