Whether you’re a brand new climber or you’re looking for more refined techniques, our mentorship program offers folks of all skills and abilities the opportunity to be matched with mentors from the community that will best help them succeed with their climbing goals. Mentorship is open to anyone provided they are 19 years of age or older.
This program is based in Vancouver, Canada.

This is an 8-week program where you’ll learn skills needed to climb snow-covered peaks and outdoor rock.
This program will include a Queer team led by Queerzamas.

BIPOC Programs

Presented by REI Co-Op with Founded Outdoors, Embark is a virtual, 3-month program designed to fuel new and aspiring entrepreneurs from Black, Indigenous, Latina/o/x, and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities as you build a path forward by offering the resources and guidance to turn early-stage ideas into viable businesses.
Embark runs from January 16, 2024 to April 19, 2024 and there is no program fee.

Programs for Women and Genderqueer Individuals

Kinship Climbing Collective is a free rock climbing and leadership development program for young women and gender expansive youth in NYC.
KCC is a free program, open to NYC public high school young women and gender non-conforming youth, and includes full membership and gear rentals at Movement LIC climbing gym.
Kinship Climbing Collective will meet one Friday per month at Movement LIC in Long Island City, Queens. The year will culminate in a series of outdoor climbing trips where participants will be able to test their year of hard work outside on real rock.
